Custom modern steel disc frame for stiffness and speed

Like UFOs, suddenly out of nowhere all these round silver discs were flying down mountains on road bikes…. Stop!! What brought that on? Well in the move towards wider tyres, mixed surface riding and the need to be maintenance free – disc brakes were a natural progression. Disc brakes also brought in thru axles meaning a stiff and more precise front end. So we knew that with its oversized Dedacciai main tubes the original DeFer was already plenty capable, so we opened up the rear end to take larger tires, added new stainless dropouts, flat mount disc tabs, and a new fork and out popped the DeFer Strada Disc.

Workshop.
All DeAnima frames are made in our small workshop in the foothills of the Dolomites here in Trento, Northern Italy. To make this frame we went back to our friends at Dedacciai and explained what we wanted to do and they produced the tube-set for us. Tig welded using the finest Dedacciai tubes, this frame is available in both standard and custom geometry. See geometry charts.
Order.
Choose a DeFer Strada Disc and then we can start making it for you, it won’t be hanging on the wall waiting for a customer, it will be built with your name on it. Once we have worked with you on the geometry and paint and you are happy, only then we will start to build your frame.
